In what I would term a slice of poetic justice, Prius continued their exceptionally strong sales history.
The current bizarre issues that Toyota has battled have a very strange odor about them, and it seems that consumers are trusting their instincts–on this product, at least.
Toyota has been the best example of ‘How Things Should be Done’ for car-builders for decades, and that really should carry quite a bit of weight.
It will be interesting to see the overall affect of all of this on the depreciation rate of pre-owned Toyotas.
I will analyze and provide that info as it becomes available.
We can certainly expect that the the curve will alter somewhat.
